BrokerCentral warns of Brokers being held back ahead of BIBA 2026
Firm links BIBA’s ‘Time:To’ theme to growing need for action on broker technology
With the insurance industry preparing for BIBA 2026, BrokerCentral is urging brokers to address the impact of outdated systems, warning that legacy technology continues to slow down operations across the sector.
This year’s BIBA Conference theme, “Time:To”, focuses on taking action in the present and driving meaningful change. BrokerCentral says this reflects a growing need for brokers to reassess the role their systems play in day-to-day efficiency and long-term growth.
Across the market, BrokerCentral says it is increasingly seeing brokers frustrated by the limitations of legacy insurance software and disconnected CRM systems, with many still relying on manual processes, duplicated data entry, and workarounds to manage day-to-day operations.
The firm warns that these inefficiencies are no longer just operational challenges but are becoming a barrier to growth as client expectations continue to rise and competition intensifies.
One broker described the scale of the issue, saying:
“We were probably spending around 20% of our time just chasing people for money. For me personally, it was closer to 40%.”
BrokerCentral said this reflects the level of time many brokers are still losing to manual, repetitive tasks that could be streamlined through more efficient systems.
Nick Jordan, CEO of BrokerCentral, said:
“The BIBA theme this year is a clear signal that the industry needs to focus on action. For many brokers, one of the biggest opportunities is improving the systems they rely on every day.
Across the market, we’re seeing brokers increasingly held back by manual processes and disconnected platforms. Outdated systems are no longer just an operational issue—they’re becoming a competitive risk. Brokers who don’t address this now risk falling behind those who are investing in more efficient, connected solutions.”
BrokerCentral said modern, integrated insurance software and CRM systems can significantly reduce administrative burden, improve data flow, and enable brokers to respond more quickly to client needs.
The company believes that adopting more efficient systems is key to helping brokers move forward, particularly as the industry continues to evolve.
BrokerCentral will be exhibiting at BIBA 2026, where it will be speaking to brokers about the operational challenges they face and how better systems can support growth, under its campaign message:
“Don’t get left behind. Move forward.”
